I believe therapy is an important tool to navigate the challenges throughout our lives. I have my Masters Degree in Social Work from Grand Valley State University. I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families struggling with a wide variety of challenges. I have experience preparing families for the adoption journey, as well as working with families and children post-adoption. I have been trained as a Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Practitioner that specializes in supporting foster and adoptive families heal trauma through building trusting relationships. I have traveled to countries around the world adapting parenting skills to best meet the needs of individual families. Additionally, I have experience working with individuals, families, and caregivers navigating chronic illness diagnoses. I counsel caregivers and families through anticipatory grief as well as after the loss of a loved one. Other areas of experience include trauma, anxiety, and depression.
Whether you are overwhelmed in your parenting journey, struggling with anxiety and depression due to past or present struggles, or grieving the loss of a loved one or relationship, I am here for you. I desire to support clients in a way that is most comfortable for them whether that be in person or through telehealth. I believe in partnering with my clients to build a trusting relationship where individuals and families can explore their thoughts and feelings in a safe environment. It is truly an honor to walk alongside my clients. You are the expert of your story, and I am here to support you as you write the rest of that story. I truly believe that every individual and family can benefit from therapy throughout their lives.
