    Georgeia Kolokithas (She/her/hers)

In the face of a person experiencing many situational stressors or a challenging life event, even the most competent person may need extra support or guidance. I have been there myself, and through my own life challenges and my journey as a social worker, I found an authentic desire to help others and build relationships that has allowed me to have a deep understanding of my client’s needs.

Like one of my favorite poet writes: “There is always a glimmer in those who have been through the dark.”- ATTICUS

I received my masters in Clinical Social Work from Michigan State University and have experience providing therapy and case management services to individual’s, adolescent’s, children and families, the developmentally disabled, victims of sexual assault and domestic violence, incarcerated clients, and the severally mentally ill. I specialize in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) which focuses on a person’s present and future circumstances and goals, rather than past experiences. I am also well versed in many different therapeutic styles, such as CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care.

My passion includes advocating for change, and my current focus is pushing for reform within the criminal justice system. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends, thrifting and traveling.
