This referral page is intended for healthcare providers, school professionals, social workers, case managers, and other professionals referring a client or patient for mental health services.

Connecting someone with mental health support should be simple.

Unity Counseling provides outpatient mental health services for children, teens, and adults across Michigan. Our Intake Team works with referral partners to help connect clients with available clinicians who fit their needs.

What Happens After You Refer?

We Review the Referral

Our Intake Team reviews the information provided and considers the client's needs, preferences, insurance, and clinician availability.

We Reach Out

Our team contacts the client or guardian to learn more, answer questions, and discuss next steps.

We Help Find the Right Fit

When appropriate, we'll help match the client with an available Unity clinician who fits their needs.

Referral FAQs

Unity supports children, teens, and adults with concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, grief, stress, life transitions, relationships, identity, and more.

Unity provides outpatient mental health care. Clients needing a higher level of care or services outside our scope may be better served by another provider.

We accept many major insurance plans and offer self-pay options. Cost varies by plan, provider, and service.

Send referrals by fax, email, or online at UnityCounseling.com. Our team will follow up and help match the client with an available clinician.

If we are unable to see your client, our Intake Team will notify you promptly using the phone or fax number provided with the referral.

Otherwise, we do not routinely provide updates on the status of a referral. If you would like to check on the status of a client you referred, you are welcome to contact our Intake Team by email at Intake@unitycounseling.com or by fax at 616-226-4603.
