What is Medication Management?
Medication Management is a supportive, collaborative service where you meet with a licensed prescriber to discuss symptoms, goals, and whether medication may be a helpful part of your care. Visits often include checking in on how you’re doing, reviewing benefits and side effects, answering questions, and making adjustments when appropriate.
This is not “institutional” care—it’s a thoughtful outpatient service designed to help you feel more stable, more functional, and more like yourself. Many people use medication as one part of a bigger plan that can include therapy, lifestyle changes, and skill-building.
Who is Medication Management best for?
Medication management may be a good fit if you:
- Have been feeling stuck in anxiety, depression, mood changes, attention/focus issues, or sleep concerns
- Are curious whether medication could help reduce symptoms so therapy and daily life feel more manageable
- Want support adjusting or continuing medications you’ve been prescribed in the past
- Would like to transfer care from another prescriber to an in-house Unity provider
- Prefer a treatment plan that can include therapy at Unity or elsewhere
Medication decisions are made during an evaluation and based on clinical appropriateness.

Medication Management locations: Muskegon, Grand Rapids, Alpena, and statewide Michigan
Muskegon Medication Management
Our in-person medication management appointments are based in Muskegon. This is a great option if you prefer in-person visits or if an in-person visit is recommended as part of care.
Grand Rapids Medication Management
Many Grand Rapids area clients choose telehealth medication management and meet with our prescriber remotely. If an in-person visit is needed, Muskegon is an option for clients who are willing to travel.
Alpena Medication Management
Alpena area clients can often begin with telehealth. If periodic in-person visits are needed, we can coordinate options as scheduling allows.
