Welcome! Meet Ashley Borysiak, LPC Intern

Specialties:  Identity/Self-Worth, Relationship Issues, Anxiety, Life Transitions, and Young Adults

If you're feeling stuck, anxious about a big life change, or simply wanting more meaning in your life, I’m here to support you. Whether you're facing a specific challenge or just trying to navigate the everyday ups and downs, I’ll meet you where you are and help you move toward the goals that matter most to you.

I believe authentic relationships are the cornerstone of mental well-being. No matter what life brings, we all need support, a safe space to be ourselves, and the comfort of a familiar, grounding presence—especially in times of change, uncertainty, and stress. My approach is person-centered and rooted in empathy and genuine connection. I strive to understand each client through their unique perspective and lived experience, and I feel honored to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and day-to-day stressors.

I view mental and physical health as deeply interconnected and work collaboratively with clients to explore how these elements influence one another. I believe we all have the potential for growth, self-discovery, and healing. My goal is to support you in finding meaningful insights and sustainable solutions so you can live a more authentic and fulfilling life. If this resonates with you and you’re ready to take the next step, I’d love to connect.

Outside of my work, I enjoy running, strolling through downtown with my dog, and discovering fresh foods from local vendors and markets.

This is my first time in therapy. What can I expect?

In therapy, you can expect a welcoming and supportive space where we’ll work together to explore your feelings, set personal goals, and develop coping strategies for challenges like anxiety, stress, grief, and more. I’ll tailor our approach using techniques like cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness to meet your unique needs, empowering you to make positive changes at your own pace.

How do I get started?

The first step is to fill out the contact form with your information to the best of your ability. One of our intake specialists will then reach out to answer any questions you may have and schedule a brief phone consultation. During this call, we’ll ask you to share a little about yourself and discuss what you’d like to focus on in therapy!

Do you accept Insurance?

Unity Counseling offers a wide range of accepted insurances such as Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Optum, Priority Health, UMR, and United Healthcare. Along with accepting some Medicaid and Medicare! Unity Counseling also offers out of network, private pay avalbile on a sliding scale. If you don't see your insurance or have questions, please give us a call to learn more!

How often would we meet?

There is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to therapy. In the beginning, we typically recommend meeting on a weekly basis. This gives us a chance to get to know one another, and as our work together develops, we encourage personal assessments so we can create a schedule that suits your specific needs.
