Meet our intake team

How long is the call?

The call is usually about 15 minutes. It’s a quick, low-pressure conversation with our intake team to understand what you’re looking for, answer a few basic questions, and talk through next steps. If we can match you with the right clinician, we’ll help you choose a time for an intake or first appointment.

Is it really free?

Yes, there’s no cost for this call. It’s meant to help you get oriented, feel comfortable taking the next step, and make sure you’re connected with the right options. You won’t be billed for the call, and there’s no obligation to schedule. We’ll simply help you decide what makes sense.

Do you take my insurance?

Most insurance policies have mental health coverage which cover all or a part of the costs of therapy, and we work with many of them. We can talk through insurance on the call and help you understand how it typically works. If you’re not sure, that’s okay! Many people aren’t. We’ll explain what information we need and what to expect.

What if I don’t know what I need?

That’s very common. You don’t need the “right words” or a clear diagnosis to reach out. We’ll ask a few simple questions about what’s been going on to help match you with the right therapist. From there, we’ll suggest next steps and the best type of appointment to start with.

What if you don’t have availability?

If we don’t have an opening that fits your needs right away, we’ll still help. We can look at other clinicians, different appointment times, telehealth options, or another location if that’s workable. If we truly can’t meet your timeline, we can also provide referral options so you’re not left without a plan.

Can I switch therapists later?

Yes. Finding the right fit matters, and it’s okay if it takes a try or two. If you feel like the match isn’t quite right, we can help you make a change. We’ll talk through what you’re looking for, recommend another clinician when available, and help make the transition as smooth and respectful as possible.

Do you offer telehealth?

Yes, we offer telehealth for many needs, and we’ll help you decide if it’s a good fit. Some clients prefer in-person, while others value the convenience of meeting from home. During the call we can discuss your preferences, location, and schedule, and share whether telehealth is available with the clinicians you’re considering.

What ages do you work with?

We serve all ages, and the best match depends on the clinician and the type of support needed. On the call, we’ll confirm the age of the person seeking services and what you’re hoping to address. Then we’ll connect you with a clinician who works with that age group and has experience in the right areas.

How soon can I be seen?

We can often get you scheduled within a few days, but timing depends on clinician availability, your location, and whether you prefer in-person or telehealth. During the call we’ll look at current openings and talk through what schedule would work best for you. If the soonest options don’t fit your needs, we’ll discuss alternatives so you have a clear path forward.
