Welcome! Meet Cheyenne Doan, LPC Intern!

If you’re working through trauma, whether from childhood, family dynamics, relationships, or systems that were never built with you in mind. I want you to know you don’t have to navigate it alone. I love working with girls and women, from preteens through their late 30s, who are open to the therapeutic process and ready to grow into the best version of themselves. Whether you’re actively experiencing trauma or trying to heal from the past, I’m here to support you.

My approach to therapy is collaborative and person-centered. I’ll meet you where you are and help guide you in building your own toolbox of therapeutic skills, grounding techniques, and coping strategies. I’m also growing my own clinical toolbox so I can better serve you, offering mindfulness practices, emotional regulation tools, and space for honest, meaningful conversation. Sessions are tailored to your needs, goals, and lived experience, with the intention of supporting both healing and preparation for the challenges ahead.

I show up as my full self, warm, grounded, and sometimes in sweatpants, because I want you to feel safe enough to show up as your full self too. We can share a snack while talking through something heavy or move through a few yoga stretches to decompress after a tough week. I offer flexible scheduling including early mornings, late nights, and weekends, and I’ll be offering virtual sessions soon as well.

If this feels like your kind of space, I’d love to connect..

This is my first time in therapy. What can I expect?

In therapy, you can expect a welcoming and supportive space where we’ll work together to explore your feelings, set personal goals, and develop coping strategies for challenges like anxiety, stress, grief, and more. I’ll tailor our approach using techniques like cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness to meet your unique needs, empowering you to make positive changes at your own pace.

How do I get started with therapy?

The first step is to fill out the contact form with your information to the best of your ability. One of our intake specialists will then reach out to answer any questions you may have and schedule a brief phone consultation. During this call, we’ll ask you to share a little about yourself and discuss what you’d like to focus on in therapy!

Do you accept Insurance?

Unity Counseling offers a wide range of accepted insurances such as Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Optum, Priority Health, UMR, and United Healthcare. Along with accepting some Medicaid and Medicare! Unity Counseling also offers out of network, private pay avalbile on a sliding scale. If you don't see your insurance or have questions, please give us a call to learn more!

How often would we meet?

There is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to therapy. In the beginning, we typically recommend meeting on a weekly basis. This gives us a chance to get to know one another, and as our work together develops, we encourage personal assessments so we can create a schedule that suits your specific needs.
